Originally created by the UK’s Cheltenham Science Festival, FameLab is an exciting science communication competition designed to find the new faces of science – people who can inspire and excite public imagination with a vision of science in the 21st century.

FameLab is designed to inspire and motivate young scientists and engineers to actively engage with the public and stakeholders.

FameLab is organised by the British Council and the Cheltenham Science Festival and involves more than 20 countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia and South Africa. In Italy it is coordinated by Psiquadro.

Contestants compete in three minutes and a handful of words to communicate a scientific topic they're passionate about to the public. With a proven format, honed over many competitions in more than 20 countries by the British Council, FameLab transcends cultures and languages.

The robust training, coaching and recognition builds confidence and skills allowing the alumni to put into practise their skills in a wide variety of situations.

The winners of the regional heats will enter the national heat in Rome, at Auditorium Parco della Musica.

The event is free.

Prenotazione obbligatoria per gruppi scolastici.
