The London production of An American in Paris, which was filmed earlier this year, featuring original Broadway and West End stars Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope, will be screened on 16 and 17 May throughout Italy. The production is directed and choreographed by award-winning Christopher Wheeldon, and stars New York City Ballet principal dancer Robert Fairchild as Mulligan and British Royal Ballet dancer Leanne Cope as Dassin.
Written by Craig Lucas and based on the Oscar® winning MGM film, it tells the impassioned story of discovering love in post-war Paris. The musical features tunes by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin.
