The British Council, in partnership with QMI presents Romeo and Juliet.

Although The Royal Ballet has performed Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo & Juliet over 450 times (and many more on tour), each performance and pairing is subtly different, and Lauren Cuthbertson and Federico Bonelli are utterly captivating in the title roles.

The ballet tells the familiar Shakespearean story, with music of decided variety by composer Sergey Prokofiev, who completed it in 1935; it was only in 1938 that it was performed as a complete ballet.

This performance was broadcast live from Covent Garden to cinemas worldwide.
