The British Council, in partnership with QMI presents Royal Opera House Live Cinema, the ROH screens opera and ballet productions live across the world.

Giacomo Puccini's Tosca, is the next production, curated by Jonathan Kent. The performance stars Angela Gheorghiu as Floria Tosca, Jonas Kaufmann as Mario Cavaradossi and Bryn Terfel as Scarpia. The Royal Opera House Orchestra is directed by Antonio Pappano.

Tosca is the story of the beautiful opera singer Floria Tosca and her lover, the revolutionary painter Mario Cavaradossi. Entangled in the political events of early 19th Century Rome, the pair fall into the hands of evil chief of police Baron Scarpia, who is determined to use Cavaradossi's republican sympathies and Tosca's jealous nature to claim the diva for himself.
