On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, Fondazione Teatro Piemonte Europa presents six plays which are the outcome of a particularly interesting and original project called After Shakespeare.

The project involves six authors: Nicola Fano, also curator of the project, Alberto Gozzi, Donatella Musso, Sergio Pierattini, Lidia Ravera and Lia Tomatis, called to write six plays describing what might have happened to the heroes of Shakespeare, after the curtain fell on their events.

Il Sogno di Bottom (Bottom's Dream) - Bottom and Quince are rehearsing for the show where they will play, on the occasion of the Duke of Athens' wedding. After the rehearsal, Bottom falls asleep and wakes up four centuries later, in front of a young theatre director, who is struggling to put together a " productive project " able to get some public funding . An arid present (where the reasons of art and culture are banned) terrifies Bottom that finally, after falling asleep once again, wakes up in front of Quince to whom he recounts his dream .
