The ability to speak in front of an audience in English is essential for creating business growth opportunities in the international market. In this practical workshop, you will develop a presentation in English, practise delivering it in front of an audience and get feedback from the trainer.
Who is this course aimed at?
This one-day training workshop is aimed at business professionals who need to practise and improve their presentation skills. Level B2 + Maximum 12 people.

Course Materials
Course materials will be provided. Participants should bring their own tablet or notebook.
Overview of the training
This practical workshop supports participants in the planning, preparation and delivery of presentations. You will focus firstly on preparing your slides, which will form a presentation, to be given in the afternoon.
You will focus on developing communicative and informative presentations, describing facts and figures and engaging audience interest through the use of language and tone of voice.
You will work on dealing with the pressure of speaking in front of an audience and responding to questions effectively.
The presentations will be filmed for training purposes. Feedback will be provided by peers and by the trainer.

The Trainer
Katie Harris is CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching Adults) and BET (Business English Teaching) qualified and has taught business and general English in Milan since 2010.
She graduated with a Masters in Linguistics from the University of Cambridge and later went on to gain an MRes in Speech, Language and Cognition from University College London.
In addition to teaching, Katie has delivered Public Speaking and Presentations skills training as part of the British Council English for Innovation project and has run Business Training sessions to British Council clients. She has also worked with digital language learning companies in the development of their advanced business English courses, with a focus on international communication strategies.
