This seminar focuses on passages from A Christmas Carol by Dickens and two of Wilfred Owen’s World War One poems to offer a series of tools and techniques like group speaking, role play, hot seating, etc in order to enable students to engage with what may appear to be the remote characters, themes and language of literature.
