The famous play by Samuel Beckett (a translation of his own original French version), a tragicomedy, directed by Alessandro Averone, in which two characthers Vladimir and Estragon wait - in vain - for someone named Godot to arrive, will be performed by the Sycamore T Company, that performed it in this theatre, last February.

What always fascinated me in Beckett is the delicate and fine poetry that springs from his texts. The love and sympathy for the human being  forced desperately to search a sense of living. His wandering on this earth in a continuous expectation of a gesture, of a word that could become a divine Verb, that could show the way, the purpose that could explain the mystery of being here and now. No God, no metaphisic. You have only to wait. Something undefined and unknown. You just let the time to flow and fill a space. You can only desperately cling  on anything that reminds us that we do exist and that we are alive. We play with what remains. The world, the human being, the words. We resist. With love, with violence. With all what we are. With all our limits. Close to each other. Waiting for Godot. Alessandro Averone.

It is a rare fact that a troupe could improve a text that in itself is already an archetypal. [...] Beckett used to say that "People are stupid". A note that is not far from truth. But this time he could have found in these five actors all the Humanity…..They help you to stand up and remind you that, above all, you are men with a strong turn for love and "Beauty. – BinRome.
