If you’re planning to pursue higher education or are looking for professional opportunities in English-speaking countries, the IELTS Academic test is probably a good fit for you. It uses more academic language and assesses whether you have the readiness to begin studies or training.

If you are aiming to study at a level below a degree, work in English-speaking countries or your own country, or immigrate to an English-speaking country, the IELTS General Training test is the right choice for you.
