On 10 November 2020, Triennale Milano Teatro met the National Theatre of Scotland one of the many partnerships that were brokered thanks to the UK/IT Season 2020.
Jean Cameron, Creative Director of the UK/IT Season 2020, chatted with Jackie Wylie, Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Scotland, about the collaboration on the Scenes for Survival project. This project was created by the National Theatre of Scotland and consisted of more than 50 online films, created in response to the Covid-19 epidemic and made during the quarantine by a creative team consisting of a performer, a playwright and a director, to recount the lockdown in Scotland in an original and unprecedented way.
Four of the films were then screened, followed by a dialogue between Jackie Wylie and Valeria Cantoni, of Triennale Milano Teatro, who discussed the themes, reflections and suggestions related to the Scenes for Survival project.
After the presentation of the project and the first four films, a new film was added every day from November 11 to November 15, creating a playlist of 9 films, selected by Triennale Milano Teatro for the occasion.
