The weather and climate change
Climate change, the long-term shift in global/regional climate patterns, is by now recognized as an urgent problem threatening the future of our planet. This seminar will start by recalling the protests of the young spearheaded by the Swedish activist Greta Thunberg before journeying back into the past and illustrating reactions to the weather /atmosphere and their effects as recorded in different periods of English literature and art. A wealth of material for stimulating classroom discussion.
